Forsåker

The former industrial area Forsåker south of Gothenburg will be developed into a new city center with 3000 apartments and 4000 workplaces. The area has a long tradition of paper milling going back to the 17th century and most of the old industrial brick buildings are still standing.
This survey focused on the transformation of six large buildings into housing units and offices. The aim was to modernize the structures but still preserve as much as possible of the original character of the buildings.
